Hegseth accused of lying about Iran strike death toll
Original: 'DEPRAVITY': Pete Hegseth ADMITS HE LIED about Iran war death toll as Pentagon quietly raises number
Pete Hegseth is facing accusations that he lied about the number of deaths from the US strikes on Iran, while the Pentagon has quietly raised its official casualty figure. Critics, including progressive commentators, are calling the discrepancy depraved, and the story is fueling debate over transparency in the Trump administration's account of the Iran operation.
Why now: The admission and the Pentagon's revised death toll contradict earlier official statements, drawing heavy attention.
