Apple has launched Indie Games Week in its App Store, putting the spotlight on independent developers. As part of the promotion, seven new indie titles are being featured in the store. The initiative is meant to draw more attention to the independent games scene, and Apple is promoting the event across its platforms.
Why now: Apple rarely dedicates store-wide promotions to indie developers, so the launch and the seven new titles are drawing attention.
