Littlefedi app strains low-memory Android phones
Original: @stefano On Androids with very little memory the standalone Littlefedi app is a problem because there is just not enough
A user reports that the standalone Littlefedi app is problematic on Android devices with very little memory, saying there is not enough RAM to go around. Motorola phones in particular run invisible background processes that leave only a few hundred MB free for apps, and when Android starts swapping, the device almost freezes.
Why now: Users of low-memory Android devices are discussing the app's heavy resource demands and Motorola's background processes.
