A new open-source screenshot utility for Wayland, LumineCapture v0.2, has been released, written in Rust. The developer reports fast startup of around 40 milliseconds on a single monitor and save times averaging about 150 milliseconds. The tool includes a built-in editor, OCR via PaddleOCR, desktop pinning and command-line options. GNOME support is not yet available.
