A batch of bananas has been provided for distribution to one of the groups of children at Olive Garden School. Organisers say they hope to secure a further quantity for the school's other two groups so that every pupil can benefit from the initiative, which they describe as a small way to bring fresh fruit to the children.
Why now: People are responding warmly to a grassroots effort giving fresh fruit to schoolchildren.
