Donald Trump's new White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia, delivered a rocky performance at her first press briefing, with critics mocking the stilted display as a 'malfunction' and dubbing her the 'Zachbot'. The debut drew wide commentary across US political media, with observers framing it as an early test of the administration's message discipline and its relationship with the press corps.
Why now: A new press secretary's shaky first appearance at the podium is politically embarrassing and highly shareable.
