Steve Bannon warns he may face prison after midterms
Original: Bannon warns of prison after midterms
Former White House strategist Steve Bannon says he expects to be sent to prison after the US midterm elections. He made the warning publicly, framing it as a likely consequence of legal cases pending against him. Supporters see it as political persecution, while critics argue the cases are legitimate accountability. His comments are drawing attention to how the courts and the elections intersect.
Why now: Bannon's prediction of jail time ties his legal troubles directly to the upcoming midterms, making it a talking point in US political debate.
