Juuryoku Piero skipped for Shuka Sho, ending Triple Tiare hopes

Original: ジュウリョクピエロ

Japanese racehorse Juuryoku Piero will not be entered in the Shuka Sho, the final leg of the fillies' Triple Crown. Netkeiba notes that with the omission, no winner of both the Oka Sho and Japanese Oaks will contest the race, something seen only three times before, including Fine Motion's victory year of 2002. Racing fans are debating the decision and what it means for the filly's autumn campaign.

Why now: The surprise omission from the Shuka Sho entry list is a notable talking point among Japanese horse racing fans ahead of the race.
