NFL weighs Sunday night flex for Week 8 schedule
Original: NFL eyeing possible schedule change with Sunday night flex in Week 8, but league doesn't have a lot of options
The NFL is considering using its flexible scheduling option to move a different game into the Sunday night slot in Week 8, according to CBS Sports. The league reportedly has limited alternatives, with the week's matchups offering few compelling alternatives for a prime-time switch. Flexible scheduling allows the NFL to swap in a more attractive game later in the season, and any move would affect fans with travel plans and broadcasters.
Why now: Flexible scheduling decisions draw attention because they change which teams get prime-time exposure and can affect fans' plans.
