Gardeners embrace cover crops over compost after talk

Gardeners are discussing a talk that argues for shifting from compost-heavy soil management toward greater use of cover crops. One gardener notes the talk echoes ideas from Roland Bunch's book Restoring the Soil, which advocates using living plants to rebuild soil fertility, and says they are adopting these methods in their own garden as a result.
Why now: A talk on soil health is resonating with gardeners exploring cover crops as an alternative to compost-based methods.

This reinforces everything I’m reading in Roland Bunch’s book Restoring the Soil, and the methods I’m increasingly turning to in the garden: Less emphasis on # compost and more emphasis on # CoverCrops .… · PermaSolarPotter@mastodon.green · 26
