UK Office for Responsible Business Conduct gets few complaints, little visibility

The UK's Office for Responsible Business Conduct has received a seven-fold rise in complaints over the past five years, yet the total reached only 36 in the eight months to August this year. Observers point to low public awareness of the body's existence, noting that many people had never heard of the office and its role in handling business conduct complaints.
Why now: People are struck by how obscure this government office remains despite its mandate over responsible business conduct.
