Thailand weather agency warns of storms and heavy rain

Thailand's Meteorological Department has issued warnings of turbulent weather from 5 to 9 November, with thunderstorms, strong gusts and possible hail in upper Thailand, and heavy to very heavy rain raising flood risks in the South. Bangkok's drainage authority is monitoring canals ahead of downpours, and the Transport Ministry has ordered ten southern airports to prepare flood plans after flooding in Satun killed nearly 1,000 farmed tilapia.
