Led Zeppelin approve Stairway to Heaven for Narnia film

Original: narnia the magician's nephew

Robert Plant and Jimmy Page have given rare permission for 'Stairway to Heaven' to be used on screen for the first time, approving the song for Greta Gerwig's upcoming film adaptation of 'The Magician's Nephew', part of C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia. The licence is notable given Led Zeppelin's history of withholding their music from film and television projects.

Why now: Gerwig's Narnia adaptation is in production and the surprising music licensing news has sparked interest in the film.
