Original: Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) 2026 Cancelled
The Grace Hopper Celebration, the world's largest gathering of women in computing run by AnitaB.org, has been cancelled for 2026. The announcement, made via a press release from AnitaB.org, is drawing attention from the tech community, with many questioning the reasons behind the decision and what it means for women in technology.
Why now: People are surprised and concerned because the conference is a major annual event for women in tech, and its cancellation raises questions about funding, leadership or the state of diversity initiatives.
