Candidates who questioned or sought to overturn the 2020 election results are again running for posts that oversee elections in the swing states of Arizona and Nevada. In Arizona, Republican Alexander Kolodin, who was reportedly temporarily disbarred for efforts to overturn the 2020 results, is in the contest, while Nevada's race features another Republican with a similar record of election denial. Commenters are warning that officials skeptical of election outcomes could gain power over future vote administration in key battlegrounds.

Why now: Ongoing concern that candidates who reject past election results could control election administration in decisive swing states.
