New Documentary Portrays Musk as Ruthless Businessman
Original: Interview: New documentary "Musk" Musk has crafted an image of a 'polymath' solving the world’s most pressing problems..
A new documentary about Elon Musk is drawing attention with a sharply critical portrait of the billionaire. An interview tied to the film argues that Musk has cultivated an image of a polymath solving the world's most pressing problems, when in reality he is described as a ruthless businessman willing to do whatever it takes to succeed, including misleading the US government into backing his companies. The film challenges the popular narrative around Musk's achievements and business practices.
Why now: Musk's prominence in politics and business makes any critical portrayal of him a magnet for public debate.
