DC Eyed for Nostalgic Video Game to Rival Marvel's Spider-Man
Original: DC Has the Perfect Video Game Idea to Rival Marvel’s Spider-Man, and 2000s Kids Would Love It
DC may have an ideal concept for a video game that could go head-to-head with Marvel's blockbuster Spider-Man series, and commentators argue it would especially appeal to fans who grew up in the 2000s. The idea taps nostalgia for that era's DC characters and shows. Gamers are weighing whether DC can finally deliver a superhero title with the same cultural impact as Insomniac's Spider-Man.
Why now: Ongoing buzz about DC lacking a flagship superhero game to compete with Marvel's hugely successful Spider-Man franchise.
