Admitting Ignorance About Politics Strikes a Chord
Original: I don't know much about politics, and I don't think I'm alone
A columnist with the University of Alaska Anchorage's student paper has written a piece openly admitting they do not know much about politics, and suspecting many of their peers feel the same. The confession taps into a familiar conversation about political disengagement and how daunting it can feel for young people to follow the news.
Why now: It gives voice to a common feeling of political confusion and disengagement that many readers relate to.
