Ukraine drone strikes on Yandex data centers linked to bot traffic drop
Original: Did Ukraine's drone strikes on Yandex data centers silence Russian bots?
Reports suggest Ukrainian drone strikes on Yandex data centers in Russia may have caused a noticeable decline in bot traffic, prompting speculation that Russian bot activity was disrupted. Observers are debating whether the alleged drop in automated traffic confirms that Yandex infrastructure was supporting coordinated bot networks, and what the incident means for wartime cyber and drone tactics.
Why now: The claim that a physical drone strike visibly reduced online bot activity is an unusual and striking intersection of warfare and internet infrastructure.
