Gardeners swap tips on using eggshells for tomatoes
Original: when they say egg shells are good for growing tomatoes what do they mean and how is it done lol # gardening # gardeningA
A gardener asked how eggshells are supposed to help tomato plants and how to actually use them, admitting they have no idea what they're doing. The common advice is to crush dried shells and work them into the soil or compost, where their calcium is said to help prevent blossom end rot, though the effect is slow and modest.
Why now: It is peak gardening-question season and home gardeners readily share practical tips and debate eggshell folklore.
