Seafood industry pushes back on Outlaw Ocean fish feed investigation
Original: 'Sloppy brush': Industry pushes back on Outlaw Ocean's sweeping fish feed investigation
The aquaculture feed industry is pushing back against a sweeping investigation by the Outlaw Ocean Project into fish feed supply chains. Industry representatives, quoted by IntraFish, have criticised the reporting as a 'sloppy brush', disputing the findings and defending their sourcing practices amid scrutiny of wild-caught fish used in aquafeed.
Why now: A high-profile investigation into fish feed supply chains has drawn strong public criticism from the affected industry.
