HomeView can run iPhone and iPad apps via CarPlay-style trick
Original: HomeView kann iPhone- und iPad-Apps nutzen – über eine Art CarPlay Zwar hat der HomeView keinen App Store, er kann aber
The HomeView smart home device does not have its own App Store, but it can apparently still run iPhone and iPad applications through a CarPlay-like mechanism. German tech outlet Heise reports that this requires a workaround, meaning users may get iOS and iPadOS apps on the display despite the missing store. Details on which apps work and how reliable the trick is remain limited.
Why now: It suggests a workaround that expands what Apple's smart display ecosystem can do, which matters to HomeKit and Apple users.
