Ukraine says Starlink access restricted without warning
Original: 'This cannot be a coincidence' — Ukraine's Starlink access restricted without warning, Zelensky adviser says
A senior adviser to President Zelensky said Ukraine's access to Elon Musk's Starlink satellite network was restricted without warning, writing 'This cannot be a coincidence.' Starlink is critical to Ukraine's military, particularly for operating mid-strike drones in Russian-occupied territory. The claim has sparked concern over reliance on a single private provider for battlefield communications and renewed questions about Musk's role in the war.
Why now: Reports of an unexplained disruption to a service vital to Ukraine's drone operations raise fears about political leverage over the war effort.
