Original: royal mail staff departures cwu

The Communication Workers Union has called for an emergency summit with Royal Mail management after claims the postal service is on the brink of collapse. The union says staff departures and worsening service standards are pushing the company towards crisis, and wants urgent talks with the government and Ofcom over the company's future.

Why now: Ongoing concern over Royal Mail's financial state and staff losses has prompted the CWU's demand for urgent talks.
