Political commentator Tazaki Shiro flustered on live news show

Original: 田崎史郎

Veteran political commentator Tazaki Shiro drew attention after appearing on the programme 'News to' following the launch of a new administration. Challenged on the air about the issue surrounding agriculture minister Norikoshi Yanagi, he was pressed into a hesitant, muddled response, while fellow commentator Nomu Shuya admitted he had been rude and reflected on his own conduct.

Why now: The sharp on-air exchange over the agriculture minister controversy has drawn criticism and debate about Tazaki's commentary.
