Starlink restricted in Ukraine with no notice
Reports indicate that Starlink has been restricted in Ukraine without prior notice, raising concern given the satellite internet service's critical role for Ukrainian military and civilian communications during the war with Russia. Users and observers are questioning whether the change came from SpaceX, Polish authorities who have helped fund the service, or technical issues, and what it could mean for Ukraine's battlefield connectivity.
Why now: Any disruption to Starlink threatens a vital communications lifeline for Ukraine's war effort, making the sudden and unexplained restriction highly consequential.
