Ukraine says SpaceX cut Starlink functions without warning
Original: Ohne Vorwarnung von SpaceX: Ukraine beklagt plötzliche Starlink-Beschränkungen Ohne Vorwarnung hat SpaceX Starlink-Funkt
SpaceX has restricted Starlink functions used by the Ukrainian military without prior notice, according to reports from Ukraine. Several military missions were cancelled as a result, and officials in Kyiv say they do not believe the restrictions were a coincidence. The move has raised new concerns about Ukraine's dependence on Elon Musk's satellite network for battlefield communications, coming amid ongoing debate over the reliability of Western support for the country.
Why now: Ukraine's military relies heavily on Starlink, so sudden unexplained restrictions directly affect the war effort and raise fears about political pressure on SpaceX.
