Starlink Speed Limits Hit Ukrainian Drone Missions
Original: Starlink Speed Limits Disrupt Ukrainian Drone Missions Amid Russian Attack
Ukrainian drone units are reporting disrupted missions after Starlink imposed speed limits, with the problem surfacing during a Russian attack. Operators say throttled connectivity interferes with drone coordination and battlefield communications at a critical moment. The reports have raised concerns about reliance on SpaceX's service for military operations and prompted questions about whether the restrictions were technical or deliberate.
Why now: Ukraine's dependence on Starlink makes any throttling during active Russian attacks a matter of battlefield concern.
