Ossoff again rules out a 2028 presidential run
Original: Ossoff again said he won’t run for president. Such denials don’t always stick.
Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff has once more said he will not run for president, but history shows such denials from ambitious politicians often change. With Democrats searching for a 2028 standard-bearer and Ossoff seen as a rising figure after his 2026 reelection race, speculation about his future continues despite his repeated refusals.
Why now: Democrats are already scouting potential 2028 presidential candidates, so denials from a prominent young senator draw attention.
