Perseverance examines Jezero Bright Rock at old landing area

Original: Close-up image of the # JezeroBrightRock presently being examined by # Perseverance at its new-old location; Current RMC

NASA's Perseverance rover is studying a rock nicknamed Jezero Bright Rock at its current position in Jezero Crater on Mars. The location sits next to RMC 91.0000, the spot where the rover first arrived about 60 Martian days earlier. A processed image from the SHERLOC_WATSON camera, taken on Sol 2008 and looking east-northeast, shows a close-up of the rock being examined.

Why now: Space enthusiasts are following the rover's return to its early exploration area and its ongoing geological analysis on Mars.
