Washington Reis's family distances itself from Paes and Lula
Original: washington reis
In Rio de Janeiro politics, the Reis family has publicly distanced itself from Mayor Eduardo Paes and ruled out backing Lula, declaring its support for Flávio Bolsonaro instead. The remark that 'even the parrot at home votes for Flávio' drew attention, highlighting shifting alliances ahead of Rio elections.
Why now: A bold family declaration of Bolsonarista allegiance, breaking with mainstream Rio centre-left figures, is circulating widely.
