A recording of Mozart's Suite from the London Sketchbook, K.15, played by pianist Hans-Udo Kreuels with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields under Sir Neville Marriner, is circulating among classical music listeners. The juvenile work, written during Mozart's childhood visit to London, draws attention for its charm and for the involvement of Marriner, one of the most admired conductors of the baroque and classical repertoire.
Why now: Classical music enthusiasts are sharing a performance pairing a lesser-known early Mozart piece with the beloved Marriner-led Academy of St Martin in the Fields.
