Aaron Sorkin Says 'The West Wing' Revival Would Be 'Very Tricky' Today
Original: Aaron Sorkin On 'The West Wing' Revival: "It Would Be Very, Very Tricky To Do In The Current Environment"
Aaron Sorkin says a revival of his acclaimed political drama 'The West Wing' would be 'very, very tricky to do in the current environment.' The creator's remarks suggest he is skeptical about revisiting the idealized White House series amid today's polarized political climate. Fans of the show, which ran from 1999 to 2006, have long called for a comeback, making his cautious comments a talking point.
Why now: Sorkin's rare public comments on a possible revival of the beloved series come amid ongoing fan demand and a highly charged political moment.
