Whalefall thriller starring Austin Abrams draws mixed reviews

Original: whalefall

Whalefall, a new survival thriller in which Austin Abrams plays a diver swallowed by a sperm whale, is drawing attention as reviews land. Variety's critic called the film unintentionally preposterous but framed it as a tale of human perseverance set inside a whale's stomach, and the title is now trending in both the US and Germany.

Why now: Reviews of the newly released film are driving searches and debate about its outlandish premise.
