Red Bull has renewed Laurent Mekies' contract as Formula 1 team principal, praising his "exceptional leadership". Mekies took charge of the team during the 2025 season after the departure of Christian Horner, and under his management Red Bull has shown renewed competitiveness. The early contract extension signals the team's confidence in his direction heading into future seasons.

Why now: Mekies has quickly earned backing from Red Bull after replacing Christian Horner, a major mid-season leadership change in F1
