Travel trend for 2027 focuses on experiences over destinations
Original: The hottest travel trend for 2027 isn't where you go. It's what you do there
News outlets are reporting that the biggest travel trend expected for 2027 centers less on destinations and more on what travelers actually do once they arrive. Scripps News and local ABC affiliates are carrying the story, suggesting a shift toward experience-driven trips such as activities, immersion and purpose-based travel rather than simply choosing a place to visit.
Why now: Media outlets are promoting forward-looking travel coverage as travelers plan future trips around experiences rather than locations.
