Federal immigration authorities targeting airports for arrests
Federal immigration authorities are reportedly conducting arrest operations at airports, according to a report from ABC7 Bay Area. The targeting of airports for immigration enforcement raises questions about how agents are identifying individuals at these locations and could affect travelers, airport workers, and immigrants across the United States. Details on the scale of the operations and who is being detained remain limited.
Why now: Airport-based immigration enforcement is a new and alarming development that could affect many travelers and immigrant communities.
