Russia launches 39 missiles at Ukraine's power grid

Original: Three days after Washington announced an energy ceasefire, Russia fires 39 ballistic missiles at Ukraine’s grid Zelensky

Zelenskyy says Russia fired 39 ballistic missiles at Ukraine's energy infrastructure just three days after Washington announced an energy ceasefire, leaving at least 600,000 people without power and killing four in Kyiv. The Ukrainian president accused Moscow of never showing the United States such disrespect, casting doubt on US-brokered peace efforts.

Why now: The strikes directly contradict the US-announced energy ceasefire, undermining diplomacy and drawing outrage.
