Dusty rose chafer found behind flower pot shimmers like jewelry
Original: I found this little guy behind a flower pot: dried out and all dusty but still shimmering like a little piece of jewelry
A nature lover found a dried-out rose chafer (Cetonia aurata) hiding behind a flower pot, covered in dust but still showing its characteristic metallic, jewel-like sheen. The discovery was shared with wildlife and insect photography communities as part of Wildlife Wednesday, drawing warm engagement from people who enjoy the beetle's surprisingly beautiful appearance despite its bedraggled state.
Why now: The beetle's jewel-like shimmer despite being dried and dusty makes for a charming, shareable nature encounter.
