Artemis II Astronaut Christina Koch Moves To NASA Management
Original: In Brief: Artemis II Astronaut Christina Koch Moves To NASA Management
Astronaut Christina Koch, who was assigned to fly on NASA's Artemis II lunar mission, is moving into a management role at the space agency. The move means she will step away from her position in the astronaut corps at a time when the Artemis II crewed lunar flyby remains a flagship effort for NASA. Koch is best known for the record-setting 328-day spaceflight by a woman.
Why now: Koch is a high-profile Artemis II crew member, so her shift from flight duties to management draws attention to the mission's roster and NASA's leadership plans.
