73 Veterans Fly to Washington, DC, with Honor Flight Columbus

Original: 73 veterans travel to Washington, DC, on Honor Flight Columbus

Honor Flight Columbus flew 73 veterans to Washington, DC, to visit the memorials dedicated to their service. The program gives veterans, many of them elderly and terminally ill, a free trip to see monuments built in their honor. The trip is drawing attention as communities celebrate the aging veterans and their sacrifice.

Why now: The event honors elderly veterans with a memorial trip, which resonates widely as the number of surviving veterans shrinks.
