Amsterdam police have confiscated a server belonging to Italian left-wing internet service provider Autistici/Inventati (A/I) at the request of American authorities. The Dutch action, reported by NRC, raises questions about foreign influence over servers hosted in the Netherlands and has drawn criticism from digital rights advocates concerned about press freedom and activist infrastructure.

Why now: The seizure of activist-hosting infrastructure by Dutch police on a foreign warrant is sparking debate about digital rights and international legal cooperation.
