Call for NASA, ESA and CNSA to unite on Mars exploration
Original: # NASA πΊπ², # ESA πͺπΊ and # CNSA π¨π³: Letβs work together on Mars!ππ Transcend geopolitical boundaries and unite our effort
Space enthusiasts are urging NASA, the European Space Agency and China's CNSA to pool their efforts in the search for microbial life on Mars, arguing that science should transcend geopolitical rivalries. The appeal reflects a broader push for international cooperation in space exploration at a time when the US, Europe and China each run separate Mars programmes.
Why now: Ongoing geopolitical tensions between the US, Europe and China make joint Mars exploration a topical and aspirational idea.
