Sally Rooney Books Pulled Over Palestine Action Ties
Original: What is Palestine Action? Sally Rooney Books Pulled Over Ties
Books by Irish author Sally Rooney have been pulled following reported ties to Palestine Action, prompting questions about what the group is and why it is controversial. The group has been designated as a terrorist organisation in the UK, and links to a prominent literary figure have drawn attention and debate over free expression and the boundaries of supporting proscribed organisations.
Why now: The removal of books by a high-profile author over alleged links to a proscribed group has sparked fresh debate about Palestine Action and free speech.
