Palantir software processes reports linked to EU chat control

Original: Palantir-Software verarbeitet Meldungen aus der EU-Chatkontrolle Einige Plattformen in der EU überprüfen private Nachric

Some platforms in the EU voluntarily scan private messages for child sexual abuse material and report suspicious findings to the US center NCMEC. Reports say Palantir software is used to process these reports, fuelling debate over the EU's chat control plans, since voluntary scanning already routes Europeans' private messages through US firms and authorities.

Why now: The EU chat control debate is ongoing, and the news that Palantir already handles scanning reports intensifies privacy concerns.
