New Japanese game is all about making dashimaki tamagoyaki
Original: だし巻き ゲーム
A simple cooking game called 'Dashimaki' is drawing attention in Japan. The gameplay involves nothing but making dashimaki rolled omelette: heating the pan, adding oil, cooking the egg and rolling it repeatedly. Famitsu reports that the concept is minimalist but surprisingly addictive, with players finding themselves hooked on perfecting the humble rolled egg.
Why now: The game's unusually mundane but oddly addictive premise is charming Japanese gamers and generating buzz.
