Irish novelist Sally Rooney has said she can no longer sell or publish her books in the UK because of her public support for Palestine Action, which was proscribed as a terrorist organisation by the British government. Rooney, author of 'Normal People' and 'Beautiful World, Where Are You', has been an outspoken supporter of the group and of Palestinian rights, and her statement has drawn wide reaction online.

Why now: Her announcement reignites debate over the UK's proscription of Palestine Action and its impact on free expression.
