Ukraine says cruise missile strike destroyed six Su-34 bombers at Borisoglebsk
Original: BREAKING: Ukrainian forces using cruise missiles have destroyed 6 Russian airforce Su-34 fighter-bomber at Borisoglebsk
Ukrainian forces reportedly struck Borisoglebsk airbase overnight with cruise missiles, destroying six Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers on the ground. If confirmed, the strike would be one of the heaviest single losses of Russian combat aviation in the war, deepening pressure on Moscow's air operations as the fighting continues.
Why now: Reports of a major strike on a Russian airbase inside Russia would mark a significant escalation in Ukraine's long-range campaign.
