Original: red electrica
A power cut blacked out the western zone of Malaga city for around half an hour, leaving residents and businesses without electricity before supply was restored. The outage in the electrical grid is the latest in a series of supply incidents drawing attention in Spain, where interruptions to the red electrica have become a recurring topic of concern among the public.
Why now: Power grid outages are a sensitive topic in Spain following recent large-scale blackouts, so any new cut attracts attention.
