Zelenskyy Accuses Musk and US of Betrayal Over Starlink Curb
Original: Zelenskyy Accuses US and Musk of Betrayal Over Starlink Limits During Russian Attack
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has publicly accused Washington and Elon Musk of betrayal, saying Starlink connectivity was limited as Russia attacked Ukrainian positions. The claim, tied to a disputed 2022 incident involving a proposed strike on Russia's Black Sea Fleet in Crimea, has ignited debate over Musk's wartime influence and private companies' role in national security, drawing furious reactions from Kyiv and denials from Musk.
Why now: A sitting wartime president openly accusing a major US ally figure of aiding Russia is an extraordinary charge that is dominating global news and political debate.
